Been awhile since Ive been on here...our daughter was born back in December, and things were starting to come around with Alex (my 12 year old stepson), but they're really disintegrating fast. He wants to come over and just hang out with his father...not willing to work, not wanting to play with either of his sisters. He also wants to go do something for an entire weekend, just he and his dad. Added to that stress, I had to have an incisional hernia from Marissa's delivery repaired (8 week recovery, which I'm in the midst of), and I've discovered I have postpartum depression, which I'm in the midst of setting up treatment for.

Witch Miriam and I were talking yesterday and she advised me to join and post this. We've got 2 different problems...one is with our son (hubby's from his first marriage), who got along with me fine until his dad gave me a ring last April, and we've not seen him since. (Bill doesn't want to push for the visitation he's supposed to have, but its hurting him.) We got married in June, and are expecting a daughter in January, right around Alex's birthday. He also DOESN'T want another sibling (he has another sister from hubby's second marriage, which ended in his wife's death when Jolie was a year old).

The second issue is with our cats...hubby had 2 Trish and Mufasa, nicknamed Fussy (a tuxedo cat), and I had a calico named Belle. Since we put them together last January, there's been lots of fighting, though no blood, and it wasnt getting any better. Belle is also declawed, unlike the other 2, so shes at a disadvantage. I called a cat doctor in the next town, and he told me to bring in the most problem cat, which we thought to be Fussy, as he was always getting in Belle's face and upsetting her. Turns out, he's just a "bozo the clown" type cat, but his being into everything is upsetting belle's need for space. We are trying what the doctor suggested to settle things down, but with Marissa coming in January, we really need things taken care of before we add her into the mix.

Any energies for any and all these situations would be GREATLY appreciated. I've put pics of all the cats and hubby and the kids in my personal photos on here, and they're public. Thanks so much.

I know you want to be happy. But in life we have so many obstacles. Just show love to all. Be patient. Take is a day at a time. The boy will come around. Just show him love. Remember when he says things its just words. He is hurting and wants to hurt you. Hurting people hurt. He is young. Be there for him, but don't let him take advantage. Get him some some professional help. He will keep fighting, you have to get the power. His dad needs to take his power back. It takes time. I had a rebellious teenager. I joined tough love. It started at 9. Lots of trouble. She is now 24 and happily married. We are best buddies.
Pray and ask the Lord for help alwasys.
